El objetivo es detener la mortalidad de ni\u00f1os menores de 5 a\u00f1os y madres, por causas que se pueden prevenir, como la neumon\u00eda, la diarrea, las complicaciones derivadas durante el parto o la desnutrici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Comprometidos con la supervivencia infantil\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/A25oNYevqzY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mejorar la nutrici\u00f3n y la salud, asegurar el acceso al agua potable y saneamiento, y promover h\u00e1bitos saludables logran prevenir y tratar las principales causas de mortalidad infantil ofreciendo a todos los ni\u00f1os la oportunidad de crecer sanos y desarrollarse plenamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u00c1frica Subsahariana es el lugar con mayor \u00edndice de mortalidad en el mundo<\/em>. <\/strong>Uno de cada 12 ni\u00f1os muere antes de los cinco a\u00f1os de edad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde 1.990 se han hecho grandes esfuerzos en reducir esta mortalidad, pero a\u00fan no es suficiente. Los recursos sencillos que se han utilizado incluyen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Atenci\u00f3n especializada en la etapa prenatal, durante el parto y en la etapa postnatal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>La lactancia materna.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>La inmunizaci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mosquiteras.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agua y saneamiento.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Terapia de rehidrataci\u00f3n oral para combatir la diarrea.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Antibi\u00f3ticos para la neumon\u00eda.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Suplementos nutricionales y alimentos
