{"id":85430,"date":"2024-09-17T06:12:25","date_gmt":"2024-09-17T11:12:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/losperiodistas.com.mx\/portal\/?p=85430"},"modified":"2024-09-17T06:12:28","modified_gmt":"2024-09-17T11:12:28","slug":"dia-mundial-del-sindrome-de-kleefstra-did","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/losperiodistas.com.mx\/portal\/dia-mundial-del-sindrome-de-kleefstra-did\/","title":{"rendered":"D\u00eda Mundial del S\u00edndrome de Kleefstra | DID"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"305\" height=\"203\" src=\"https:\/\/losperiodistas.com.mx\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/09-17_dia-mundial-sindrome-kleefstra.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-85431\" style=\"width:456px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/losperiodistas.com.mx\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/09-17_dia-mundial-sindrome-kleefstra.jpg 305w, https:\/\/losperiodistas.com.mx\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/09-17_dia-mundial-sindrome-kleefstra-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 305px) 100vw, 305px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-3aa118b0468398fc8c867f42a873ef01\"><strong>REDACCI\u00d3N D\u00cdA INTERNACIONAL DE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>El 17 de septiembre se conmemora el D\u00eda Mundial del S\u00edndrome de Kleefstra<\/strong>, una enfermedad poco frecuente que es generada por mutaciones en el gen EHMT1, ocasionando d\u00e9ficit intelectual, retraso en el desarrollo y tonalidad muscular d\u00e9bil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con esta efem\u00e9ride se pretende brindar apoyo a familiares y pacientes, as\u00ed como divulgar informaci\u00f3n acerca de esta enfermedad rara, sensibilizando a la poblaci\u00f3n acerca de este tema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es el S\u00edndrome de Kleefstra?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El&nbsp;<strong>S\u00edndrome de Kleefstra<\/strong>&nbsp;es una enfermedad de origen gen\u00e9tico, generada por mutaciones en el gen histona-lisina N-metiltransferasa 1 eucrom\u00e1tica (EHMT1), ocasionando una microdeleci\u00f3n en la regi\u00f3n cromos\u00f3mica 9q34.3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las principales caracter\u00edsticas de este s\u00edndrome son las siguientes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Discapacidad intelectual.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Retraso en el desarrollo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dificultades en la audici\u00f3n y el lenguaje.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rasgos faciales distintivos.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tono muscular d\u00e9bil (hipoton\u00eda).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tama\u00f1o de la cabeza peque\u00f1o (microcefalia).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anomal\u00edas estructurales en el cerebro.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Defectos cong\u00e9nitos del coraz\u00f3n.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Convulsiones.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diagn\u00f3stico y tratamiento del S\u00edndrome de Kleefstra<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El&nbsp;<em><strong>diagn\u00f3stico<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;de esta patolog\u00eda se realiza mediante una evaluaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica por parte de un m\u00e9dico especialista, as\u00ed como pruebas gen\u00e9ticas confirmatorias denominadas secuenciaci\u00f3n del gen EHMT1, para detectar posibles mutaciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se realizan los siguientes ex\u00e1menes y an\u00e1lisis, para detectar deleciones en el cromosoma 9:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An\u00e1lisis de microarrays.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hibridaci\u00f3n Fluorescente In Situ (Fish).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Amplificaci\u00f3n Multiplex de Ligadura dependiente de Sonda (Mlpa).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>En la actualidad no se ha establecido una cura para el S\u00edndrome de Kleefstra. El&nbsp;<em><strong>tratamiento<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;se determina de acuerdo a los s\u00edntomas de cada paciente, por parte de un grupo de especialistas (ur\u00f3logo, cardi\u00f3logo).
