La int\u00e9rprete ten\u00eda 89 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tal como ha confirmado su representante a &#8216;The Hollywood Reporter&#8217;, la actriz\u00a0<strong>muri\u00f3 \u00aben paz\u00bb en su casa<\/strong>\u00a0de Nueva York el pasado viernes 17 de noviembre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mujer de cine, teatro y televisi\u00f3n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Nacida el 31 de octubre de 1934 en Garfield (Nueva Jersey, Estados Unidos), Shepherd debut\u00f3 en la gran pantalla en Mystic Pizza, pel\u00edcula de 1988 dirigida por Donald Petrie y protagonizada por Julia Roberts. Apareci\u00f3 en otras grandes producciones como Armas de mujer de Mike Nichols; Lolita de Adrian Lyne; R\u00e9quiem por un sue\u00f1o, dirigida por Darren Aronofsky, o Los sexoadictos a las \u00f3rdenes de John Waters. Sin embargo, su papel m\u00e1s recordado en la gran pantalla fue el de la madre de Karen (Lorraine Bracco) en&nbsp;<strong>Uno de los nuestros&nbsp;<\/strong>a las \u00f3rdenes de Martin Scorsese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En la peque\u00f1a pantalla, destaca su papel de Mary DeAngelis en<strong>\u00a0Los Soprano<\/strong>, ficci\u00f3n para la que rod\u00f3 20 episodios. Asimismo, tambi\u00e9n tuvo roles puntuales en series como Ley y orden, Ley y orden: Acci\u00f3n criminal, Ley y orden: Unidad de V\u00edctimas Especiales o Turno de guardia. Su \u00faltimo trabajo data de 2023, cuando apareci\u00f3 en la cinta The Performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de trabajar en cine y televisi\u00f3n, Shepherd tambi\u00e9n fue\u00a0<strong>profesora y coach de interpretaci\u00f3n\u00a0<\/strong>del Conservatorio Trinity Square, el Conservatorio Hartman y el Estudio Berghof, adem\u00e1s de tener su propio estudio en la ciudad de Nueva York. Shepherd tambi\u00e9n dirigi\u00f3 el Nederlander Theatre (Nueva York) y el Steppenwolf Theatre (Chicago) y tuvo la oportunidad de protagonizar numerosas obras a lo largo de su
