Era analfabeta pero, a pesar de su poca instrucci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica, en su tiempo ilumin\u00f3 la vida de muchos con la presencia de Dios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuvo su primera visi\u00f3n a los 5 a\u00f1os, la cual le sirvi\u00f3 de inspiraci\u00f3n para dedicar su vida a Dios. Se convirti\u00f3 en terciaria dominica, lo que le permiti\u00f3 vestir de h\u00e1bito y permanecer en su casa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Catalina evangelizaba de diversas formas: daba consejos espirituales personalmente en su casa, o por medio de conferencias semanales para sus hijos espirituales, y su mayor legado a la vida de la Iglesia fueron las cartas que escrib\u00eda dirigidas a papas, reyes y otras personas influyentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Era una joven muy activa porque adem\u00e1s de catequizar a los j\u00f3venes y evangelizar de distintas formas, cuidaba de los enfermos y ayudaba a los desfavorecidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gracias a sus ense\u00f1anzas, en 1970 el papa Pablo VI la declar\u00f3&nbsp;<strong>Doctora de la Iglesia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.es.aleteia.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2020\/04\/godong-vn022466a.jpg?w=300&amp;h=169&amp;crop=1\" alt=\"godong-vn022466a.jpg\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><em>Te puede interesar:<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/es.aleteia.org\/2023\/04\/27\/catalina-de-siena-la-contemplativa-que-mandaba-a-papas-y-reyes\/\">Catalina de Siena: La contemplativa que mandaba a papas y reyes<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para celebrarla en familia podemos preparar estos exquisitos suspiros en honor a ella, la hermana Mar\u00eda Isabel Lora desde el monasterio de Nuestra Se\u00f1ora del Rosario, en Daroca (Espa\u00f1a), nos ense\u00f1a a elaborarlos en su libro\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetadelibros.com\/libro-los-dulces-de-las-monjas\/124\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Los dulces de las monjas. Shutterstock \/ Africa Studio<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Ingredientes:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>85 gramos de nata<\/li><li>85 gramos de az\u00facar<\/li><li>85 gramos de harina<\/li><li>2 huevos<\/li><li>20 gramos de levadura en polvo<\/li><li>30 gramos de mantequilla<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Preparaci\u00f3n:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En un bol se ponen las yemas, el az\u00facar y la nata, y se baten bien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se mezcla la harina con la levadura y se a\u00f1ade poco a poco el batido, removi\u00e9ndolo con la esp\u00e1tula de madera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En otro recipiente, batimos las claras a punto de nieve y las incorporamos al batido junto con la mantequilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preparamos una placa de horno engrasada con mantequilla y con una cucharilla hacemos montoncitos. Lo introducimos en el horno a 160\u00ba C durante 15 minutos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip nutricional,<\/strong>&nbsp;si se prefiere se puede sustituir la&nbsp;<strong>harina de trigo<\/strong>&nbsp;por una sin gluten (harina de arroz o mezcla) para que pueda ser consumida por aquellas personas que presenten&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/es.aleteia.org\/2020\/05\/05\/como-prevenir-carencias-nutricionales-en-los-celiacos\/\">celiaqu\u00eda<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Del mismo modo, el&nbsp;<strong>az\u00facar&nbsp;<\/strong>tambi\u00e9n se puede reemplazar por edulcorante apto para horno en caso de diabetes o para cuidar el peso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al realizar modificaciones en los ingredientes se puede alterar un poco la consistencia de la preparaci\u00f3n pero queda bien de todas formas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recuerden que esta preparaci\u00f3n es para consumo ocasional por
