David O\u2019Connell, querido obispo de Los \u00c1ngeles, fue asesinado de un disparo este s\u00e1bado 18 de febrero. As\u00ed lo dio a conocer Mons. Jos\u00e9 Gomez, Arzobispo de Los \u00c1ngeles, en la p\u00e1gina web de la Arquidi\u00f3cesis.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMe entristece mucho informar esta tarde que nuestro querido Obispo Auxiliar, Mons. David O\u2019Connell, ha fallecido inesperadamente. Es un shock y no tengo palabras para expresar mi tristeza\u201d se\u00f1al\u00f3 el Arzobispo en su comunicado, y contin\u00fao describiendo a Mons. David como \u201cun pacificador con un coraz\u00f3n para los pobres y los inmigrantes, que ten\u00eda una pasi\u00f3n por construir una comunidad donde la santidad y la dignidad de cada vida humana fueran honradas y protegidas\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Te puede interesar:&nbsp;Un mexicano presidir\u00e1 a los obispos de Estados Unidos<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde su ordenaci\u00f3n sacerdotal en 1979, Mons. David O\u2019Connell se caracteriz\u00f3 por servir a comunidades afectadas por la violencia, la pobreza y las diferencias con la polic\u00eda, de ah\u00ed surge su apodo \u201cel pacificador\u201d.
