en \u00e9l se resguarda el material gen\u00e9tico de ma\u00edces nativos 17 localidades del municipio frente a las variedades gen\u00e9ticamente modificadas que salieron al mercado por grandes empresa transnacional con la finalidad de abaratar el producto sin importar los riesgos a la salud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cImag\u00ednense el poder de estos personajes, tienen el poder para modificar las especies con la intenci\u00f3n de abaratar los costos sin que les importe el dato que le puede causar a nuestra agua, nuestro suelo, nuestro aire, a todos los insectos y animales que adem\u00e1s son polinizadores\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/losperiodistas.com.mx\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/maiz_nativo4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13492\" srcset=\"https:\/\/losperiodistas.com.mx\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/maiz_nativo4.png 650w, https:\/\/losperiodistas.com.mx\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/maiz_nativo4-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EL PODER DEL MA\u00cdZ CRIOLLO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En Puebla, al menos el 80 por ciento del ma\u00edz es producto de ma\u00edz criollo, de acuerdo con Plutarco Garc\u00eda Jim\u00e9nez, director en jefe del Registro Agrario Nacional, quien estuvo presente durante la celebraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cPuebla tiene el privilegio de ser el sitio donde hace 8 mil a\u00f1os un antrop\u00f3logo norteamericano llamado Richard Stockton descubri\u00f3 en una cueva indicios de los ma\u00edces en Am\u00e9rica (\u2026). No es casual que en Puebla m\u00e1s del 80 por ciento de la producci\u00f3n del ma\u00edz proviene de ma\u00edz criollo\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Por su parte, Graciela Le\u00f3n Matamoros, directora de Desarrollo Rural de la Secretar\u00eda de Desarrollo Urbano y Sustentabilidad (SDUyS), dijo que\u00a0 198 hect\u00e1reas que se encontraban abandonadas en diferentes puntos de la zona conurbada se recuperaron tan solo durante el primer a\u00f1o de trabajo como parte del Plan Agrario Municipal, con el cual adem\u00e1s se apoy\u00f3 a los productores con diferentes implementos
