El futbol en M\u00e9xico est\u00e1 de luto tras la noticia de la muerte<\/strong> del exentrenador Manuel Lapuente<\/strong> a los 81 a\u00f1os de edad este s\u00e1bado 25 de octubre de 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El comunicador mexicano Ra\u00fal Orva\u00f1anos fue quien dio a conocer la lamentable noticia de la muerte de Lapuente por medio de una publicaci\u00f3n en la red social ‘X’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abFalleci\u00f3 un gran amigo y extraordinario futbolista y t\u00e9cnico. Manuel Lapuente. Descansa, My Friend\u00bb, fueron las palabras de Orva\u00f1anos. Hasta el momento se desconoce la raz\u00f3n de la muerte de Manuel Lapuente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lapuente es uno de los entrenadores con mayor prestigio en la historia del futbol mexicano, ya que levant\u00f3 t\u00edtulos de liga con Am\u00e9rica, Necaxa y Puebla.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

En su faceta como futbolista, ‘Manolo’ defendi\u00f3 los colores de Monterrey, Necaxa, Puebla y Atlas, y fue subcampe\u00f3n de goleo con los Rayos del Necaxa en la temporada 1966-67 con 20 goles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sus logros en el m\u00e1ximo circuito del futbol mexicano le llevaron hasta el banquillo de la Selecci\u00f3n Mexicana<\/strong>, la cual dirigi\u00f3 en el Mundial de Francia 1998 y gan\u00f3 con el Tri la Copa Confederaciones de 1999.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El partido entre Tigres y Tijuana de la Jornada 15 del Apertura 2025 rindi\u00f3 homenaje a Manuel Lapuente con un minuto de silencio previo al inicio del encuentro celebrado en el Volc\u00e1n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
